      jason142's 180

Well, this has been something that I have been wanting to do for over a year and now that I know I will be in SD for awhile I have finally started on my upgrade to the 180. It is a custom tank and most of you will remember it as Nick_Kun's 180 peninsula. Unfortunatly I am not going to be able to do the peninsula but it is going to be a great tank. Here is a picture of the frame for the stand that I just finished today.

      Cool, that'll work!

What are your plans for the rest of the equipment?

As far as what, there will be plenty of room in the stand. I am going to use a 60g for the sump and the stand dimensions are 63x33x40.

I'm going to use the same lights. I just picked up an OR6500 for the return. While it is cycling I am most likely not going to use any powerheads but that could change as we go. The heater is to be a 800W titanium and the skimmer is going to a ASM G-4. I guess other then that everything that is on my 90 except for the sump, skimmer, and return pump is going to be used.

LOL, tank isn't so sexy right now. It still needs a good cleaning but I will post pics as I progress with the build.

J - like Brad mentioned I would seriously think abount removable side panels.

As well as I'm glad you are able to stay in SD and put this together. Let me know if you need any assistance.
