0.5 gallon ZEROedge type FW pico

This a different type of little project I've been working on for a while.
It started life as a 1/2 gallon Betta tank from Petco.
It has a 3 Watt LED lamp on an old MR16 light fixture for lighting.

      I planted the island with
      Anubias barteri var. nana 'Petite',
      Riccia sp. ''mini'',
      Dwarf hair grass,
      Christmas moss
& terrestrial mosses from my yard.

I also placed Christmas moss under black mesh on the bottom, then sank some tiny oak leaves on top of that. I'm hoping the Xmas moss grows up thru the leaves.

Here is a picture with a light color background so you can see more detail

I don't know if you can tell by the pictures, but part of the water output from the pump flows out from under the stump and over the Riccia sp. ''mini'' in the center of the picture.

Here is the build journal - 0.5 gallon ZEROedge type pico.

Let me know what you think,
      Rick

Very cool, amazing detail for such a small tank. I love the overflow idea as well. Good work.

      Wow, look amazing!

IME, will be tough with shrimp. that stump is just too inviting.

2 or 3 micros would be very, very cool. Tank *might* be too small, but endler's livebearer would look amazing in that tank. (I'd still try it)

If your shrimp are big enough, such is not very big you could probably get way with a few shrimp problem free.keep in mind though the life span of a shimp is fairly short,6mo-1 year I think. But they do breed like mad if there is nothing to eat them.IMO some RCS would be super cool.

they may try but i dont think it would be very likely for them to get over the lip. you really cant go wrong with some Red Cherry Shrimp,or i have some in my tank some were some zebra shrimp. even a ghost shrimp or 2 they get pretty big. but i think less likely to just would be a bumble bee shrimp.....

This is sweet I'd put in some cherry shrimp and try a couple endlers and some spark and are super cheap/easy to keep.
