      Be careful with amphipods... I used to love seeing a few in my filter socks when I change them out. Thought they were beneficial and over time, they've thrived.

      Past few months, I'm pretty sure they ate a big colony of my purple monster zoa, nirvana zoa and my favorite blasto colony size of tennis ball. =( I'm now actively trapping and removing them on a daily basis.

      Yeah, I had a nice red coris wrasse that used to hunt them too and flipping all my frag tiles over pissing me off.. so I sold him. =/ think that's why population exploded! I run bare bottom now or I'd definitely get wrasses to eat them as they do make great food. Looking for mandarin or other gobies and see if they'll keep amphipods in check.
