      Popeye?

Pls see attached pics. Im not sure what it is and what I need to treat with.

The swallowtail male is with a swallowtail female, yellow tang, kole tang, and snowflake eel in a 50g tank. Its essentially my QT before going to display.

      Parameters:

      Ammonia - 0
      Nitrite - 0
      Nitrate - 40

They are all eating well (mysis, flakes, pellets, nori) and earlier today, I mixed food with Selcon.

      What else can I do?

One of the pics is of his good eye. Its tough to take iPhone pics of him.

He still looks the same this morning and eating well. Im not sure if Im suppose to treat or let it heal. From what ive read, it could be caused by injury/stress if its only 1 eye.

At this point, all im doing is making sure water chemistry is right, water changes, and feeding with selcon.

I hope he recovers since he's a beautiful fish.

It's hard to see the eye but a bump is noticeable. Best option...

      1. If eating and not getting picked on do not remove from tank allow it a week or so to recover.

      2. If stops eating or eye gets fully clouded/greyish then put into a quarantine and meds will treat the popeye

Thanks! Time to setup another tank, just in case I need to medicate him.

Update: He probably just injured himself since the eye is starting to heal. I would've probably tried to medicate without the advice from CMD and Rex. Thanks!
