Platax pinnatus or Platax orbicularis? I don't have either, but you might want to know:
long time ago -had an "Orbic" that grew in 6 months from a quarter to a coffee saucer size. He would eat feeders like a pig. He was dinner plate sized when I traded him back. Too big inside of a ~1.5 years. Pinnatus are prettier, but I bet they can get big fast too?
What's up kris im looking for a platax pinnatus
Yup, they're beautiful!
Yes they are! Where do you think would sell one? My buddy at tri city said he'll try to get me one, so we'll see!
Haha sushi that looks like one of my old employees. Always mad
Encinitas tropical had that exact fish a few weeks ago. Not sure if they still have it. Was a very cool looking fish, and not that expensive.
Thanks for the info jschnepf! I just called them, they said the one they had is sold, but will order me one! So we'll see! Thank you!
LOL - when I first read this, my initial thought was "HUH? WHAT? WHY WOULD YOU WANT ONE?" To me, "batfish" usually means a bat ray or eagle ray - big and ugly things. I was stationed on the USS Batfish SSN-681 (a nuclear-powered fast attack submarine) many years ago; it was named after the California Batfish - a ray. I forget at times that there are other, far different species also called batfish.
Haha! I figured if I put "wanted platax pinnatus" most people would be like hu? Haha. But I think Batfish is kind of confusing lol
that picture I posted is what came up when I googled batfish, I thought it looked cool haha
