      Help Cleaning tank

I'm going to be cleaning an 80 g tank soon and heard that it's best to use vinegar. Is the a formula to doing this?? How much water and how much vinegar do I need??

      I would do 1 gallon.
If you have time and space, plumb it & run it for 24 hrs

i used vinegar on my tank to dissolve coraline algae build up. I put it front side down and poured in straight vinegar, let it sit for a few hours and simple wiped clean with a rag, you can actually hear the calcium bubble away from the vinegar. I also put the powerheads, heater and parts into a bucket of vinegar for a couple hours and cleaned with a toothbrush and they were all like new.

i use a 50/50 mix in a spray bottle and its been fine so far. I bought a little razor scraper from home depot and it does wonders. I just let it slide along the glass with a slight angle and it takes off the algae like butter. never created scratches either.

      Good luck
