      Someone cursed my star polyps!

I am not sure if what I have are called star or glove polyps, they are like a zoa or a paly in the shape of a star at the top, with feathery edges. Anyone know what they are called? Anyway, they have been cursed and will not open up, they are all closed for nearly a week. I have had them for over a year with no problems what so ever. Any advice on how to make them happy again?

I am wondering if they are sensitive to phosphate because I had a small rise in my phosphates

Yeah, that's the right name, thanks. They look real similar to these:

Most of us can diagnose it better if there was a picture

I thought I had one in the first post. Getting a good pic is tough, but they are the ones in front that are all closed up.

try giving the clown a clay pot or anem to host and see if the gsp opens once it leaves. That clown might be in demand to kill off gsp in tanks on the site. That stuff will be the only thing in your tank after a while, at teh very leat I would isolate the rock so it cannot carpet your entire reef. The only gsp I keep now is the branching type rather than the carpeting variety.

There is not any gsp. I understand you though, maybe a bubble tip? Not sure if the pot will work bit I will try that first.

I can't get a nem right now, it will kill everything in the tank. Anything else to divert it?

an anem on it's own rock so it cant crawl away to rest of the rock wont work? All of my anems, about 15 are on their own stack of rock so they cannot move to the rest of rock and corals, if you have the room that may work
