Advice on LED Lights 3 options

      Hi all,

I am looking for upgrade the lights I have now. I am looking at 3 different options(links below) for LED. Any Advice would be great. My tank is a 30g . Running mostly softies and a couple Torch/Frogspawn as well as a couple Monti Plates. I would like to be able to move up and Grow some SPS like the acros.

The other question I have is is full spectrum better than the 50/50 white and blues?

      Thanks for any input.

      -J

If you really plan on going to sps just get t5's. LEDs, while they may work and everyone has different experiences, more often than not turns sps green. You will rarely get the colors you are paying so much money for. I say this as a die hard led user.

But LEDs I would always go full spectrum over blue/white, more color spectrums for your corals.

As far as the LEDs posted, I would go with the standard full spec Chinese, I've used these for years with great results, as well as many others, more tested and proven. Great for softies and getting pop out of corals.

I'm very interested in the COB's but they are newer and have far less info on them, so if you wannabe the test dummy I'd live to know how it does. Great thing about those are the moonlights included.

      Check out nanoboxreef.com.
I have the tide and the duo. Both are awesome and proven to grow sps. Fully customizable right down to the color of the unit to how you want to ha g or attach it. Made in the USA.
Dave Fason is the owner cool dude and can make what ever you want. T5 hybrid anyone? He can also install his set up in pretty much any fixture or hood you may have.

For a 30g just go straight t5's 4 bulb should be more than good enough. Save your money for flow and coral!
