      t5 ballast

Hello everyone. First post in a really long time. Need a little help, looking to replace a ballast on my parents 45" 54w t5 setup. It is a retrofit setup. Two bulbs fire, two don't. I believe I removed the right one and now need the replacement. I was told tri supply in El Cajon by a lfs. However, when I called, I was a little uneasy about their choice.

Unfortunately my father passed last Monday so fish tank has been somewhat neglected as he was the primary caregiver for the tank. Only four fish, four hermits and pistol shrimp survived. It's be on a gradual decline over last few months. Mom wants it back up and running in dad's honor.

Any ideas in local or better off online? Was hoping to have it done my Thursday.

I could not tell you where to purchase a ballast from but what size tank as I might have a light that can get the tank back up and running till you can get the original light fixed or replaced.

Home Depot sells real T5ballast. Go to lighting section where they sell the light diffusers and fluorescent fixtures. Some ballast, work horse & ice cap, are not spec'd T5 blast and can decrease bulb life and par. Sorry about your father. Ill see if I cam find the right ballast on-line and post the link for you.

It's a 60 gallon tank. That's awfully kind of you if you do have something. Going to stop by tri supply with ballast to see if it fits.

      Thank you everyone.
Currently at home depot and looking at t5 ballasts. One can fire all four bulbs. Should I get it?

Unable to figure it out, even with the three lamp diagram. I'm sure I'm not grounding something. Trying to use original power cord with switch. Any ideas?
