So I have been struggling with room in my 36g bowfront but found a super cheap deal for $100
It will take quite some effort but in the long run going to be worth it until I get my final 4x2x2 tank.
The tank is an 80g glass tank w/right corner overflow 29 g sump real basic system : remora pump, sock filter, other pumps,2 lights(2 bulbs each) one is coralife the other a basic black box not sure exact measurement. Guessing at least 100lbs live rock a tang and a pair of three stripped damsels.
The plan starting this weekend is to:
1. Disassemble stand and canopy.
2. Sand and replace anything not up to standards.
3. Paint and seal interior/exterior.
4. Replace all hinges.
5. Reassemble stand and canopy.
6. Do a second more thorough cleaning of all equipment.
7. Chemiclean the rocks.
8. Repair electrical issue in one of the light fixtures and clean them up.
9. Setup system let it cycle, should be fast with 100lbs live rock (plus 50lbs+ in 36g)and using Brightwell bacter7.
10.Transfer 36g into 80g.
I knows there's more to do but that's the general idea.
It's a lot faster to write down then to actually do it. I will need advice and guidance getting sump tuned in and knowledge of those who use bulbs im a led guy might need to replace the bulbs.
