      Jami's Seahorse Tank 2.0 ;)

So I've been wanting to upgrade the ponies outta the 8g nano.. Found this setup and went and picked it up in Indio

It's a 38g AA tank , 3/4" rimless acrylic, built in external overflow. Has a eshopps s120 skimmer a 20g 2 chamber sump and will run my A4 Nova LEDs on it.

Well, after Duma and I inspected the seams we decided it needed to be buffed. I tried halfheartedly to use the novus system, I realized it was worth doing professionally! So much work! So George and Chris at Acrylic Pros hooked me up, if I drove it to Whittier they would bang it out overnight and I could pick up next morning great guys, and a great deal!
Got her home and it looks great! Crystal clear.. Set it up w 40 lbs dry caribe sea sp grade reef sand, est rock I picked up from a local reefer buddy Zach, and went to Compton for a great deal on cured Tonga.. Added half sw from my 90 g reef other half new, and a bottle of dr Tim's bacteria..
      Right side

Yucky left side ( needs some work lol)
And then after testing for 5 days I am ammonia:0 Nitrite: 0 nitrate :40! Doing a WC and gonna toss in the ponies tomorro maybe
And the sacrificial offering to the tank has proven the reef gods agreeable so the ponies are next! Woohoo!
Will hopefully be adding a pair if dragonface pipes and a pair of Mandys later after I get the eggcrate box made to house the Cheato for a Refugium in the sump. ( since it is only 2 chambers)...will post updates as I get the ponies in
      Thanks for looking!
      J

Thank you guys still a work in progress, as I'm sure it always is! Will be tweaking it here and there as things find there place and settle in. But for now it is gonna be funland for the seahorses lol.. All those perches to explore!

Nice upgrade and I love the way you placed the tonga. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it per pound ? I have been wanting to get a bunch
