      DIY waterproof power supply replacement

I have a reef octopus skimmer with a dc pump and controller. The power cable connector that goes from the controller to the power supply is intermittent. I need to replace it. Because the power supply is grounded, I’m assuming I can cut the old connectors off and replace them. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions.

      DIY waterproof power supply replacement

You can just buy a replacement power supply just make sure it has the same input and output specs

But what if the bad part of the plug is the female controller side? I don’t know for sure that this particular power supply is proprietary but finding the exact one seems more difficult than replacing the plug possibly. I could be totally wrong.
