      Achilles 1 Month Birthday

This is Mr. Ichy after 31 days in this tank. It was purchased from Vets Pet Jan 29 Tuesday on a bag discount. He eats everything now including pellets, frozen, flakes, and his favorite nori (Ichy learn to eat on the vege-clip after 16 days). This is my first try on this fish so I hope he will be my guest for a long time.

I got him on a bag discount...so no guarantee if it’s going to eat right away but we are lucky that Cris picked up a couple of healthy Achilles and before I put mine to my display I have to make sure he eat first, so the fish was in my 20 gallon holding tank only for a couple of days, but as soon he start eating nori and fish eggs then he claim the 150 gallon tank in the garage and the powder blue tang who reside there before, has to go to 125 gal in the living room with the rest of my tangs.

Yeah Mr. Ichy still have some spots but his skin is way more better now compare on his first 2 weeks, and yeah i do the same thing too but I switch from Seachem Garlic Guard to Kent Garlic Xtreme(bought it at Vets Pet) it response more better in my case and I also add some Selcon( bought it Aquatic Warehouse) to his food.

      Achilles 1 Month Birthday

This Achilles is a healthy and beautiful specimen. Due to the sensitive nature of acclimating this fish to captivity, I give props to Allan for keeping it alive. Good job son!

LOL... your just a sucker for an Achilles huh Ron?!

... I too would love to go that route. And pass them on by EVERYTIME I see one up North. No matter how beautiful they are. Hard to drop that kind of coin on a fish that could croak in a matter of days. Same with the Black Tang... such an awesome fish, just too rich for my blood.

Thanks Ron, yeah you only need to remove just the tangs temporarily to make sure no stress while Achilles get acclimated and eating most everything...and oh btw make sure he cannot see himself lol.. my Mr. Ichy was fighting on his own image at the back of the tank during the day the reflection is so clear when my day lights comes on and when he comes out from the battle it look like a rare white tang lol, he is covered with so much ick and I thought he is a goner, and his war with himself lasted for two weeks. His tank mates since day one are pair of snowflakes clownfish, cleaner wrasse and mystery wrasse.

Ha.. stop being humble John, you have a beautiful tank. Every time I come by and see your tank I just want to throw away mine and a very healthy/ick free Achilles. Do you want to trade Mr. Casper to Mr. Ichy?
