If your never ran before, try this twelve program to your first half Marathon. All the 'run miles' are really run/walk few minutes each. Work up to running 8-9min, walking 1-2min. The Monday and Friday 'walks' can be cross training, a swim, mountain bike, yoga, just get out and do something.
