      RKL and adding dosing pump

      Hello everyone,

I recently set up my RKL and thought I figured out how to use it.

I'm trying to add a Bubble Magus dosing pump and I can't seem to get the pump to turn on while plugged into the 4 outlet strip. I tried plugging the dosing pump in directly to the outlet and the pump turns on fine.

If you can see the pictures, can you see what I am doing wrong?
(sorry if the pictures come out small, something changed with my photobucket account and I'm having trouble with that too - BUT the dosing pump is more important at this point.)

      TIA

How is the channel programmed? The pics are too small to see, but if you just list how the doser channel is set up that will help.

If you are using the Bubble Magus BM-T01, it functions by myself with all the programs built in to it. There's no need to hook it up to the RKL.

Not sure what you are trying to do.

      Thanks for the responses.

When feeding my fish and coral, I put the whole system on standby - which includes my mp10.
If the doser were to happen to come on at the same time the system is in the standby mode - the additives would not mix quickly if the mp10 is turned off during that standby mode. IMO, that would pose potential harm to my livestock.

Also, given the price of the RKL (and that I purchased this item brand new) - if channel 4 was not working on the PC4, I would want to get a replacement.

As far as the programming goes, it should work. Does the blue channel light come on? I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

That's what has me puzzled. The blue light on the PC4 is on for all the channels (including the channel I have set up for the dosing pump). That's what I was trying to show in the pictures in the original post, but the pictures are showing up too small.

Just to see if the problem was somehow the dosing pump plug, I switched the plug for the tunze osmolator. The same thing happened, the tunze osmolator would not turn on when plugged into channel 4 on the PC4.

If you can think of anything I can do, please let me know. Thanks!

I can look at it for you, if you would like. It sounds like something might be bad in the PC4. How old is it and where did you get it?

I have had the RKL for less than 3 months (I'm the original owner). Sent a pm.
