      Clown acting unusual

      Hi everyone,

I have 2 fish in my 29G, clown and a goby. They get along great, but for some reason my clown is always gets settled somwhere in the corner and only comes to the front for feeding. does anyone know any reasons for this kind of behaviour? He doesn't look sick, eats fine, has great colors, no white spots. And it didn't just start, he always been like that. Does he need a mate or more fish in there? Cuz goby doesn't come out much for clown to be scared of him.

Here is a live stream of my tank you can see what i'm talking about

He kinda looks like he is "hosting" that back corner. Maybe he needs something host out front? and or a male to companion. I know once my percs were comfortable they never left their anemone except to eat food.

It does look like it but I wonder what he's hosting. there is nothing to host except for the pump. Also there are plenty of thing that he can host besides the pump.

Tank-Bred clowns have weird behaviors sometimes. That's why I like my wild-caught perculas. Always swimming around.

How long have you had the clown? big enough that it would be the female? Id seriously get a smaller one and introduce it as its mate. I have tank raised percs not wild and they swim all around now, unlike my old ones who only stayed in the nem. Its a crap shoot I suppose

      My clowns do that also.
Get it a mate, but a wild caught one that will host in something. The clown you have will probably join the new one.

I have had clowns host nems, gsp, powerheads, heaters, rocks, whatever they feel like. The tank raised ones can be a bit goofy sometimes. If he is eating and his color is good that is a good sign. If he was stressed by the goby his color would be fading and he probably wouldn't be eating well. I would put something in his back corner that he might like and then slowly move it up front. he should follow. The ideas of getting her a mate are good as well. The clown just needs to be retrained a bit i think.

Thank you all for advice and suggestions. I will get him/her a mate possibly wild one and see what happens.
