PC4, Dosing Pump, and Surge Protector

      Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone uses a power surge protector between your PC4 and the dosing pump? If so, what type of surge protector do you use?

I will be using 2 x BRS 1.1 mL dosing pump to dose calcium and alkalinity.

      Thanks.

Re: PC4, Dosing Pump, and Surge Protector

I have two brs dosing pumps controlled by my RKE. I do not use a surge protector and haven't experienced any issues. I do have issues running my koralias in wave maker mode without one. Let me see if I can find the surge protector that was recommended to me.

      Jeff,

What channel do you use the dosing pumps on? Thanks.

I'll have to double check but I believe they are on 2 and 3.

Dosing pumps should be used on outlets 1 and 4 because they are mechanical relays. Channels 2 and 3 may tend to stick ON with low power devices like dosing pumps.
