Reef keeper died? Killed all my fish ;(

I just came home from a 9 day vacation and my mil was here the day before last and everyone was fine. Today I walked in the door and everyone was dead. My Reef Keeper was off? We turned it back on and it died immediately after. Its been back on for a few hours and just randomly it turns off??? Im scared to even reset the Reef Keeper up? Does anyone about these? Dave Morris?

Update: now I'm losing coral. My Miami hurricane looked perfect when I went to bed now its all white. . Is there too much poision if you will in the tank from the fish??? The tank still isn't clearing up either. I added extra bag of carbon and turned the slimmer on higher but it's not filling up the cup?? I can see it foaming like crazy though??

There could be any number of reasons for that to happen. Usually that is caused by a bad connection. Salt creep, water damage, things of that nature. Any way it could have gotten wet?

Dave not that I know of? But my light underneath keeps flickering so you may be on to something? but I doubt it. Its near no water source. Like I said my mother in law was the one taking care of the tank... at 4:30 monday afternoon everyone and everything was fine... this morning at 11am all dead. ugh... She did mention (which my husband did NOT mention to me...) that the water in the sump wasn't moving down. Which would of signaled a problem to me and I would of had her check the return pumps, however I guess this is neither here or nor there now. My husband wasn't to toss the reef keeper now and just plug straight into the wall for the pumps. What do you suggest???

My guest is if the water is not circulating from the display tank to the sump lack of oxygen, it did happen to me before with a power failure killed every fish, I guest that your return pump shorted and damage the RK too it's just a guest

Ya Im not sure Jojo? twice in the last hour it has turned off twice and then seconds later it immediately turns back on. (lights, PH, returns etc) Too bad I wasn't that lucky yesterday After this mess is all sorted out Ill definitely be looking to restock. Id like to find some more Onyx clowns but first things first the RK pos.

Okay so NO water anywhere... Luke said the RK said ERR01 or Ch 01 Error he can't remember exactly.

try plugging the return pump direct to an outlet (power source)
