Setting up dosing pump on timers with RKE

Hey Guys - I have finally set up my 2 part dosing pumps from Bulk Reef Supply and have them hooked to my Reef Keeper Elite. I have created 2 different timers, one to run each dosing pump, but I want to make sure they will be on for as long as I am thinking they will be. I checked the RKE forum and tried to follow their instructions as best as possible, but I am still not 100% that I set them up right. I want to dose around 45ml of each solution throughout the day, but I don't really want them dosing at the same time and mixing together. Each dosing pump says it doses 1.1ml per minute so I figured a total run time of 40 minutes for each pump would be accurate.

      Timer 01
      DOW: SMT***S
      start at: 8:00am
      Time on: 00:10:00
      Time off: 05:50:00
      Repeat: 0
      Oscillate: Yes

      Timer 2
      DOW: SMT***S
      start at: 8:30am
      Time on: 00:10:00
      Time off: 05:50:00
      Repeat: 0
      Oscillate: Yes

By going off the way the DA thread said, I feel like this should make each pump be on for 40 minutes a day because if you add 10 minutes with 5:50 you get six hours and there are 24 hours in a day. Does this logic make sense?!?

      Any input would be appreciated.

note: for some reason the forum won't let me post the letters of the day of the week for some reason, but I do have each day set for the pumps to come on

Thanks, yeah...the part about not having the repeat function on was throwing me off. If oscillate is on though it will cycle during those times. So I think you are good, just make sure you test to see where you params are going

I only run mine once a day. When I programmed mine, I kept the off time at 00:00. Works exactly the way I want it to.

Do you run your dosing pump for more than 30 minutes at once? I think I heard (haha could be wrong) that it can burn the pump out if you run for more than 30 minutes at a times somewhere?!?

No I do not. I run my calcium dosing pump for 22 mins and my alk dosing pump for 15 mins. If it does get to a higher amount, I will split the calcium dosing up during the day and the ALK dosing early in the morning when my pH is at it's lowest.
