I would get a BRS reactor. They sell them with JG fittings that fit right on a Maxijet powerhead. Jeff is correct, you don't need tons of flow. If you use the dual reactor, put the carbon in the first cylinder and GFO in the second. BRS recommends a Maxijet1200 for their dual reactor. I am running that and it works great. Check with Jojo at Goldfish World. He sells the BRS stuff and may have the reactor and GFO in stock.

I'm thinking about doing the brs one. Cheaper the better tho. Lol. I would just order it offline cause with gas prices it would be more expensive to drive to SD. Lol

That's definitely Dino. I have had it in a previous tank and it's a nightmare. I struggled for weeks until I got ballsy, did a water change vaccuumed what i could out and turned off the lights for two days and blacked out my tank with a blanket. Two days later clean as a whistle and never came back.

So it's receding quite well with only 4 hrs of light a day. I'm waiting in a brs reactor to run GFO and calcium. But the display tank is back to normal looking. And parameters are great.
      Ph - 8.2
      Ammonia - 0 ppm
      Nitrite - 0 ppm
      Nitrate 0 ppm

My 8g nano on the other hand not doing so well cause I put some LR from the tank with dinos in it before I knew I had Dino's. Now that has em. It's just a fowlr so I boiled the rock and put base rock in. But that really screwed up parameters.

agree, I did a black out for 3 days, carbon, gfo, water changes daily, vacuumed, and also dosed peroxide at night to kill the protozoa... I was skeptical but it worked for me too.
