Knock It Down!!!
Same thing happens when fishing sometimes. A fish will come and bite two hooks with bait on them. Two guys reel it in then someone has to decide who's fish it is. They say the deeper hook is first but then people use circle hooks that stick to the fishes jaw.
Tough call last night. Simultaneaous possession goes to the offense by default. By reply all touchdowns need review, that was clearly 51/49 in favor of GB but the Seattle player got both arms around the ball also and they landed tangled. Think it ended up being a push with a homer ref call in favor of the home team. Home field advantage.
All this discussion about the NFL, Refs, bad calls...sure is great publicity for the NFL. Seems like everyone is talking about them.
Smart move.

that was BS!!!!!
We all know that green bay grabbed the ball first. But what worse is when they were falling to the ground seattles receiver is repositoning his hand so he momentarily let go of the ball and grabbed the defenders arm instead then switched back to the ball. While the defen.der had the ball clinched with both arms tucked into his body. This whole season has been ridiculous so far.
Think im gonna start dvring the games for now. Seems like half the games are the refs calling penalties or trying figure out what to do. Gonna fast forward thru all that garbage.
Even if Tate caught the ball, it was OBVIOUS offensive PI. If it was ruled a catch, the PI call would take it back. If it was ruled an interception, the Packers could decline the penalty and victory-V it for the win.

I wonder if we will see a decline in betting until the normal officials are reinstated. Anybody still betting on these games is obviously not paying attention. The teams are no longer dictating who wins, the refs are.
"I don't know what you talkin' about..."
Hahah...What a douchebag, at least put it in better way than straight faced denying like that...So much for being from Notre Dame University...
I say the replacement refs are out to make some quick bucks this season from the betting industry...What do they care as they will be gone eventually!
Changing a play or even a game like yesterday here or there can certainly give them a nice retirement fund we all wish we can have...
Imjustsaying...
Statement from NFL: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...headline_stack
"While the ball is in the air, Tate can be seen shoving Green Bay cornerback Sam Shields to the ground. This should have been a penalty for offensive pass interference, which would have ended the game. It was not called and is not reviewable in instant replay."
"When the players hit the ground in the end zone, the officials determined that both Tate and Jennings had possession of the ball. Under the rule for simultaneous catch, the ball belongs to Tate, the offensive player. The result of the play was a touchdown."
"The aspects of the play that were reviewable included if the ball hit the ground and who had possession of the ball. In the end zone, a ruling of a simultaneous catch is reviewable. That is not the case in the field of play, only in the end zone.
Referee Wayne Elliott determined that no indisputable visual evidence existed to overturn the call on the field, and as a result, the on-field ruling of touchdown stood. The NFL Officiating Department reviewed the video today and supports the decision not to overturn the on-field ruling following the instant replay review."
