Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone here is into drag racing or mustangs?

Goal 800+RWHP
I try to go to the winter nationals every year.
turbonetics on?..is that a windsor?...i dont race personally but i do make cars go fast!!!..boost is my second hobby and my job...if you ever need help with fab work?..lmk...
I got into a lot of trouble back where I used to live. I raced legal/illegal in Houston. I currently do not own any sort of fast vehicle since I was just pulled over for going over 100. I then decided to sell my S4.
I had a 1200hp GTO. 2006, a c6Z06 with around 900hp, and a reg c5 with around 600hp. After the ticket I received in June.. I sold my Audi, and bought a GIANT suv.. so now I dont have temptation to fly on the freeways.
I have gotten in some trouble myself thats why I'm building a trailered only drag car.
That's a 4.6 Windsor with a 76mm ball bearing turbo. Just finish welding the crossover and flange. What fab work can you do?
I make custom turbo headers, exhaust, IC piping, custom intercoolers, and intake manifolds. 76mm!! thatll get you 800!!
If you can weld aluminum then I just found my new best friend!!!!
I'm think I'm going to be pushing the turbo hard though but that's the last of my worries. I need to get some turbo cams to go that high.
From the looks of the tacks you have on the V-band and flex...guessing youre using an arc welder? If you tack it tight bring it to me and Ill have the welds looking pretty for ya!! Man I can talk fab, HP and turbo stuff alllll day!!! What size WG you gonna run? Oh and I can put those pesky but better SS lines together also!!
I talk all that stuff all day! Im so exited to get my car running but the previous owner of the shell must have been drunk when he welded the roll cage and tubs.
I acutally welding the piping with a Lincoln flux core. First time welding...
Im not sure on the waste gate. I'm thinking a 44-60.
IMO..before the turbo...you shouldve used stainless..especially since youre shootin for big HP..Mild doesnt hold up so well over time with burnt race gas..Ideally 321..but 304 would be just as good...at least get that thing JET or ceramic coated...then wrap it after wards..should be good for some time....All my welding is with a TIG..I have a little baby miller thats my magic maker and portable...then A big boy miller that can handle anything!..The little ones only setup for steel..Bout the only thing I cant weld is titanium..mostly cause we dont have an enclosure to do it..and no demand...Id run a 46mm wg from like tial or something...your boost is gonna be 25psi+ can easily change out springs for more or less boost..then run a EBC or manual to fine tune and keep boost spikes down..What are you using for engine management?
...i love you guys...
I know that I should have used stainless steel but this is just to get me going for 600 then grow from there. I was getting quotes for the ceramic coating. I really want to run a megasquirt 3 but I have no knowledge on the wiring.
I was thinking the stock ecu for know with an sct chip. I wanna try there new bluetooth wireless system because instead of having gauges I can have an iPad with the digital gauge display!
I'm going to need the cold side wired but i need a water to air intercooler
I was gonna guess you were gonna run an air to water..I can do that for you too bro....my shop usually gets cores from ATP, Kenne Bell, Turbonetics and believe it or not?? ebay has some choice cores too...Youd get the size you need, build end tanks for the boost then tanks for the water. weld on some -12 bungs...then yeah...Keep the core bar and plate rather then tube and fin..Thats the best part about custom..check my shop out..http://www.speedforceracing.com
We have some pretty nasty EVO 8's pushing 700+!!..daily driven TT 350 thats 440 on a completely stock motor. 1200 supra, 700 turbo M3. We TT'd a 2010 caddy CTS on top of it already being SC doing 640 or so on pump gas. Turbo smart cars...List goes on.....
