Whats up with that beautiful sand?! If you're parting with it, let me know pls.

And to all that are looking to purchase anything of these forums, please make sure you get all the permission you need before commiting to buy something. It's so annoying to get a pm saying you want something, then 10 minutes later you can't get it. I've had it happen to me several times when selling something on here. I don't know if it bugs Alex or not. But it's just not proper forum etiquette. Not only that but it might make others think they've missed out and they may not check the thread again.

Unbereefable...was afraid of a comment like that. That isnt my style and don't appreciate that/wasn't trying to be "annoying". BUT, it seems that FCFS on this particular forum means claiming it on the thread, so thats what I did. If it bugs someone thats a bummer, but I'll let you know what bugs a buyer. Driving an hour out of my way to SD only to find that an item was misrepresented (thats happened twice so far on this forum) or to find that the item has been sold (has happened once.) So it works both ways, and thats just life sometimes.

So, although I broke "forum etiquette" its only a few mins of his time, he wasn't upset, and we talked further about stopping over to see the tank this weekend, but I told him please don't hold it.

You ALSO might have noticed that I POSTED on the forum again as soon as I knew I was going to pass on the deal. This let others know that the item was still available, and that is why I did that, within minutes.

Noooooooooooooooo!!! If he backs out, let me know ASAP. You didn't get the fine sand, right. I remember in your build thread something about medium grade? But can't remember for sure. But that's what Im looking for.

@ kat: FCFS means the first to put money in the buyers hand. Not first to call dibs on the boards. It does suck that you drove down from temecula and the stuff wasn't as described. You can start a feedback thread for who that was. Just so other can watch out. PM me if you want to discuss further. We'll just leave this alone and let Alex enjoy the bumps and get back to his thread. Tell your man that some fish are jumpers. That will require a screen top. That will take away from the rimless look. Not to mention that rimless tanks look great with vortechs. Unless you have those there will be cords hanging of the back and sides of the tank. Again making the rimless look lose its sleek appeal. I got more if you need to convince him.

Haha, you have NO IDEA how I wish you could convince him. Alex's set up here is simply amazing, I am still working on him to change his mind. I only posted "yes I'll take it" because just last week when he had it at $1,000 we noticed it and just loved the way it looked, was just out of our range. Since then I guess he's found these rimless tanks...and now he's set on them!

I'll throw that fact about the screen and the cords hanging down, good point!

I see two drain pipes and one return. Are the drain pipes 1 1/2" or 1"? What kind of overflow does it have? Durso? Is it eurobraced?
