      Flatworms

Soooo, just tok the plunge & dosed tank with recommended amount of flatworm exit. Siphoned off all I could get to prior to dosing. About 5-10 min later it was apparent that I didn't siphon off nearly as many as I thought, skimming wet & running large amount of carbon. So far can't see any adverse effects from the toxins released by dead worms, lots of dead ones in the water column. Will do 25% water change in the next half hour. So far so good but keeping fingers crossed. Will update later.

120 gallon. I throw money at it, and it grows colorful sticks.

following along...I've been debating on doing full tank treatment to get rid of my red planaria problem. Hope it goes well. How bad was your flatworm problem? I've been siphoning out over last few weeks, so it doesn't seem too bad, they're not on glass.

I had FW and used FWE on my 55g. Did a 50% WC with no problems. Did the WC aprox 45 minutes after the final dose. Large WC is recommended.

I've been sucking them out all week to get ready, thought I had gotten about 75% but there are a lot more than you can see. Just finished water change, gonna wait half an hour & do another& change filter sock, this will make it about 50%. I also started swishing a net around to catch as many as I could then emptied net into bathroom sink, water was a pale yellow/ orange color and stinks, just shows how much toxins these little *******s can release. So far so good.

Ok, 4 hours later, some of the zoos and green striped shrooms closed up for a little while but are now opening, all other corals & fish seem to be alright. The next few days will tell the tale. Have water on hand for wc, will probably do 10% the next few days. Will update tomorrow. Hopefully all will be well when I get up tomorrow morning.

I have no idea, I actually thought it was some kind of cool coralline until I stumbled across an article called " top ten public reef enimies"! They were number two on the list behind aptasia.Took a closer look & sure enough it was red flatworms. They don't have the typical worm shape but instead they look like small oblong red patches on the rock.

I had flatworms... I did the treatment and did a 50% water change and then the next day did a 20% for the next 3 days each day. I had horrible flat worms, I only saw a few but once I treated so many started to come out and float around...

There's some stuff I use in my tank it's by blue life, it's a carbon/ phosphate remover works really well.. I think I have an extra bag. Each bag treats about 60 gallons...
