Hello Fellow San Diego Reefers,

Summer is just around the corner and it is just about that time when San Diegans start coming out to our beaches to enjoy the nice warm weather here in America's Finest City. However, due to the higher volume of traffic, this is also the season where our beaches will begin to get cluttered with trash .

With a new focus on our mission statement, SanDiegoReefs.com will be working on new projects to give back to our community. We are currently in the process of organizing a SanDiegoReefs Summer Beach Clean Up with the Adopt-A-Beach organization. The Adopt-A-Beach organization is not just about trash but preserving our marine environment.

We have chosen La Jolla Shores are as our clean up destination because a share of our fellow reefers, including myself use the pier to get water for our tanks. We are planning on hosting the SanDiegoReefs Beach Clean on : Sunday September 9th and are looking for volunteers who would be interested in not only giving back to our community but to the ecosystem that we all love and try to recreate.

We will be providing gloves, trash bags, recycling bags, trash grabbers and sun block thanks to the Adopt-A-Beach organization. SanDiegoReefs will also be providing snacks and soft drinks following our clean up.

Please let us know if you would be interested in giving back and helping out our San Diego Marine community. This is a family friendly event and we encourage you to bring your family!

La Jolla Shores

Directions:
From the North, take I5 South and exit La Jolla Village Drive Westbound. Turn left at the signalized intersection at Torrey Pines Road and follow it to the signalized intersection at La Jolla Shores Drive.

From the South, take I5 North and exit at La Jolla Parkway. Turn right at the signalized intersection at La Jolla Shores Drive, turn left at the signalized interesection at Avenida de la Play. Trun right on Camino del Oro.
