      Just got my new toy just wanna share some photos!!! any tips and input is welcomed thanks guys

      Slow down the bulb setting and take some photos at night. It's awesome. I do it with my d3000.

      Here my tip. Read as much as you can. Study your camera's functions and get a good book like "Understanding Exposures" by Bryan Peterson.

      Oh and get ready to shell some $$$ on lenses.

      Practice, Practice, Practice and dont' forget to have fun!

      Hey thanks for the tip nick iam trying to learn i was thinking of taking a class for photography will see how that goes. I've also been on you tube its helped a little.
      i also got a nikkpor lens 55-200 since my daughter plays sports for long range thanks again for the input more pictures to come lol

      Alex, I've got the same camera and I am really happy with the quality. As Nick said invest in some lenses, I have the 40mm macro and it has become my go to lens for closeups and also a "daily" lens to capture the kids around the house.

      Nice shots though, keep them coming

      I love the camera its a great entry level if your just getting in to the hobby iam already getting on my wife's nerves i take pictures all day long lol
