I had the same thought too. I read many review on this skimmer and the pump, the sicce has no start up issues.

Nice footprint, and not bad on watts.
I actually like the sicce's, worked fine on my bubblemaster.

So Ive had this skimmer going almost a couple weeks now. Its still breaking in a bit, but it puts out the stinkiest skimate Ive ever had. I like the ease of the "Quick-Precise adjusting valve" to adjust the output, twist the nob on top, and that's it. No start up issues...Very happy with the purchase so far.

Ive had numerous different brand skimmers, had been a SWC fan for a few years, but this one is turning out to be the best ive had so far.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on getting one.. Marine Depot is offering a 20% discount right now till the end of the month. JT what is the actual footprint on the skimmer?

15X11.5 is pretty accurate. I really like the skimmer a lot. No issues with the Sicce pump at all. It's very easy to adjust.

I'm limited for space for my 150 gal tank sump. The space is only 10" wide
