Super amped! Us up here in far N county have been in dire need of a GOOD coral shop for quite some time!!!
looks like all us NC Reefers have a new lunch spot. lol
Oh Man...I see a new pit stop on the way home from work...
Prayers answered! I'm pumped!
Is there an exact date for the grand opening yet?? Can't wait, I'm right down the street, so I know where I'll be going every pay day...
Thanks so much for your interest...we are at the mercy of city building codes and construction timing...The aim is end of April, beginning May...When matters are out of your control, you work on our patience...Once the codes and construction are completed, things will accelerate and we can better give an opening date...we can't wait to open too!
Any word on when your doors ate going to open?
Not quite sure...let me give you an update though...still have to finish the stands for the quarantine tanks, 85% of the tanks are finished and have been delivered by Leemar, 90% of the Ecotech Radions have been mounted (the Ecotech rep informed me that we have more radions for our display tanks than any other LFS in the world!), the epoxy floor is half done (we had to stop so the walls could be completed), the electrical supply will be completed today, the RODI system is complete (we were informed only a couple of LFS have RODI systems, not just RO), a plumber is coming to hook up the washing machine and utility sink today, the plumbing for the tanks will be started once hopefully before the weekend...then of course cycling of systems....so many minor details still....a fellow SD reef member who is making our view boxes (thanks Pete) and got a quick tour of the store informed us that there is nothing like this in San Diego...like you, I am excited to finally open....I hope that answers your question....thanks...Dave @Aquatica

I work in North County and looks like this will give me a reason to take the 15 home instead of the 5.
Thanks so much for offering your help...I will let you know....Dave
More Large steps taken to the eventual opening...ceiling and walls finished, the final custom aquariums delivered from Leemar, more decor for the showroom arrived, the quarantine stand finished (just the tidepool stand to be completed), and finally to witness technology meeting the reef hobbyist- The Ecotech Rep was programming the 30+ Radions in the store from the East Coast (it was exciting to witness)...look for the Ecotech rep to possibly speak about Ecotech's products when they pay a visit to the store in near future...good day-accomplished so much...when we post 'tanks are cycling' we know we will be opening soon... Continue to "Bring the Ocean Home"... Aquatica
