      NEEDED: Electrician, to trace and move some circuits (we are a bit overloaded)

      Hey all...
      I need a reputable electrician.

      One that can;
      - crawl my attic
      - trace a few circuits
      - move some elec. outlets to a new circuit (breaker)

      Of course, I can be there to help... but, in my attic... there's a couple junction boxes. Those junction boxes are just quad boxes where a few outlets come together (that probably shouldn't have).

      I need to move some of those outlets (I'm hoping they are NOT daisy chained in the walls) or my dishwasher outlet, to a new breaker. What's happening, is when my dishwasher is ran... and my 240gal tank is in full swing, it'll blow the breaker.

      Now, I've added a couple more lights and going a bit bigger on another tank (which also share the same breaker, via two outlets). It seems the few outlets I use, are all on the "dishwasher" breaker. I'm at max... or, at the breaking point (pun intended) and need to see if it's possible to move an outlet's wiring to another (less loaded) breaker. Two outlets in total, need to be moved (not physically, just the wire to the breaker itself... either AT the breaker, or in the attic at the quad boxes).

      HELP!!!

      haha... ya, I barely fit. And I wear knee pats to straddle the rafters. One section, you have to go over a duct... and, well... it's a SUPER tight squeeze, plus you have to pull yourself over it (nothing to brace against). I do my own stuff mostly, but... I need someone with an elect. tone/probe and it's going to require two guys (one up in the attic, one down below)

      If you "don't mean to"... then don't. Simple as that. Start your own thread! LOL.

      ... and I'm a "phone" guy, so maybe you'll get an answer pretty quickly.

      If you cant find anyone by next weekend. Lets do it. I am booked this weekend with work. I have the equipment. If your willing to rafter crawl. If you have space maybe we can just add a breaker and circuit dedicated to the big tank.

      No more room in the panel last I remember. As I was somewhat "sharing" a 50amp circuit for my welder receptacle and my spa. Of course, when I was in the spa... the welder wasn't in play. And vice-a-versa. But, every time we did some work in the house... when I added a room addition, the inspector said I was full along with every other sparky who poked his nose in the panel.

      What's going to have to happen, is breaking open the quad up in the attic which is just a "splice point". Tracing out the wires to the kitchen/dishwasher and to the tank receptacles. Taking the dishwasher wiring, and splicing it into something else that's not used or doesn't have a constant load (like the tanks). Pretty simple, yet takes two to tango!

      I'd love to bust it out with your help. Of course, not when it's hot out... or, it'd have to be done first thing in the morning.

      ... I'd love to add more service! But, as I understand... that's COSTLY! In due time I guess.

      It wasn't when I did it at my house in Lemon Grove. Permit was $80 which I am sure is cheaper than the City of San Diego. I bought a 24 space, 200a panel from Home Depot for $150 and a handful of new breakers for it. My dad and I pulled out the old 60a panel, opened up the wall more and installed the new panel. SDG&E hooked it back up and I was good to go. I had to redo the stucco around it and do some patching on the interior wall, but it was worth it. I ran 4 20a circuits to my tank and ran a 20a circuit to the base of all of my trees in the yard, for Christmas lights of course. One of the best investments I ever made in my house.
