Heya SDR!
I just wanted to say hello everyone and nice to meet you! I wanted to introduce myself and show my tank!
First I would like to give my thanks to the SDR community in giving me the opportunity to actually afford to get into the hobby! My name is Chris and Im a total newb to the reefing worldLoL sometime ago I happened to come across some saltwater tanks while browsing through YouTube and thought to myself hmm i wonder if i would be able to maintain one of those things... So i started by buying books and magazines, visited the lfs's and started to do some heavy research on the internet. I started getting more interested and BAM! I stumbled across SDR! Its been downhill for my wallet ever since then...
Thanks to SDR and the equipment thread I was able to start my journey into the saltwater world. I came across a thread from a local SDR member and was able to score his tank,saltwater,sand,rock,fish and corals and much more. Talk about insta-reef and instant satisfaction! Boy was i stoked!
So its been about a month since Ive had the tank and it is doing awesome (steep learning curve)! . LoL Ive enjoyed this tank so much that I am in the process of upgrading to a brand new 90 gallon set up (hopefully this will be enough room for the blue tang and foxface)! I have enjoyed reading the daily post's by the SDR community and have been itching to jump into the chat room lol
. I have posted what all was included w/ the tank below. I believe I am actually the 3rd SDR owner of this 60 gallon cube. Well i am looking fwd to meeting and learning more from the SDR community! Thanks again and happy reefing!

Saltwater mix: R/O water from AquaSD, Tropic Marine Pro-Reef Salt
24 x 24 x 24 (60 gallon Cube) w/ 36" stand, 20 gallon 3 chamber sump, Aqua C in-sump urchin protien skimmer, 10 gallon QT tank w/ a HOB Aqua C remora protein skimmer, 9.5b Magnum return pump, (2) Koralia 750 gph circ pumps, (1 died so i ended up repping it w/ a 1050 model) (1) 1200 marineland water pump for the HOB skimmer, 150watt SunPod Metal Halide, (2) 100watt heaters, liverock, CuC and fish (1 blue tang, 2 black/white clowns (mated pair) 1 foxface rabbitfish, 1 royal gramma, 1 dhamsel, 2 anenome's, 1 fragspawn, 1 montipora (broke during move), (1) colony of xenia and (1) colt coral (I think).
Few things i have added to the tank 2x 150 Phosbane reactors (CARBON/ROWAphos) for high levels of Phosphates .05-2.0ppm (hard to tell w/ API test kit), ECO 633 pump(to run the reactors), (1)1050 gph Koralia, (5) green chromis, (1) flame angel, and some zoa's.
