      Yellow eye cole tang

I have this Yellow eye tang a month or so along with two clowns and a tomini tang. The yellow eye has come up with some white blemishes different sizes all over him. He the only one in the tank this way. Eats very well every time I see him he's munching on the rock and it don't look like he is sick with the exception of the white blemishes. What is this I'm sure some one here knows how to fix it.

yes if you don't treat it...isolate him into a qt tank if possible...or can start feeding his food soaked in metro/prime/garlic guard...but good luck!

If it is healthy and eating well it should be fine. People might say that is will do nothing but try and feed it the ich cocktail. metro, focus, and garlic guard. IMO any type of garlic additive for reefs will work as I use a product from h2o life called GVH. Is there any aggression between the two tang because they are both of the same species and almost identical in body shape that you normally wouldn't be able to keep them together.

Maybe stress..mix the food with Garlic Guard by Seachem and fresh minced garlic. It will take some time but as long as it's eating, it will be fine.

Quarantine might add some more stress! Ichs is already present in your tank, you just need to control it.

That is not true about it will die if you don't treat it. There have been several members on here, myself included, that have had tangs come down with ich and they have lived never having to be qt'd. The key is to keep them eating and fat because the healthier they are the easier it is for them to kick the ich . Also, chasing them around in a tank to get them into a qt most of the time will cause more stress then what is already there and make the situation even worse.

+ 1 ...you might end up killing it if you put it in the QT!
