      Favorite media reactors?

What are your favorite media reactors for carbon and GFO? I plan to run quite a bit of media on th new 240g FOWLR. I saw this on the MD site that looked nice...

What the difference between that reactor and something like this one?
      http://www.marinedepot.com/AquaMaxx_...FRISDN-vi.html

Is it just a matter of a different type of media doing the same thing?

That's a zeo reactor...first of all it has the word zeo on it, so add $$

But seriously, it's designed for a different purpose... it has a mechanism for shaking up the zeo stones that sit inside of it.

Perhaps I shouldn't have used the term media reactor. Maybe inline filter? It doesn't need to be able to shake up zeo stones... Just need it for carbon and GFO.

I have an MR1 i like it, only other reactor i've had is a tlf. I like The thicker construction on the MR1 and the wider reaction chamber.

I use the BRS dual reactor and love it! It really is easy to change out the media without making a mess. Can change carbon and GFO in about 10 minutes. Ever since I put this on the tank my phosphates have been at 0.00 using a Hanna meter. Check all the reviews on the BRS site also.

I've been eyeballing the reefoctopus stuff online, haven't seen it in person yet, but I do like their stuff, and that is who makes my skimmer.
I accidentally ordered the bigger two lil fishies(550) and it's a bit big, trying to decide if I'm going to use it for bio pellets.
There's a fine line between owning your tank, and having your tank own you!_________________________________________

I'm using the Vertex Media Reactors. They come with unions and ball valve. Very solid construction.

I also like the BRS reactors. They have a cartridge that you place the media in making adding or replacing media easier especially if you buy a couple extra for quick change outs.

What media do you run? I'm deciding on Biopellets, PhosBan or ROWAPhos
