How's the vertex working out for you..I'm considering getting one ..how's the spread does it cover that 30'

I like it ! No problem with the spread, I actually have to look for shady areas to hide less light demanding corals. Penetration is good too, without any spotlight effect.
With so many LED fixtures out there, what I like the most about this fixture is:
1) one wire connecting the fixture, so no spaghetti wires hanging over your tank
2) to add more colors, you do not have to remove the existing pads, basically you don't have to sacrifice PAR for color. Vertex now has Red, Green and UV pads.
3) to be able to control the light from a laptop. Wish I could do it from an ipad, but laptop would do
get a fixture that is one foot shorter than your tank's length as the spread is very good in all directions, also if you are planning on putting it in your canopy as these fixtures are few inches longer.

260 is 30% brighter than 200. Mine is a 36" fixture. Vertex is now coming out with SR300 and 360 fixture. Maybe brighter?? But even my 260 is running at 60% maximum output....and my tank is 26" deep.

Beautiful tank!
Is that red coraline algae growing on top of the purple?

Yes it does cover really good. Vertex recommends 1 foot smaller fixture as well. Check out the Bulk Reef Supply's video on this fixture. SPS growth and color is great. Hardest thing I find with these lights (or maybe any other quality LED fixture) is determining maximum PAR you can output to the tank before you start damaging the corals. Its so easy and tempting to make them brighter.

You are more than welcome to come over and check out the fixture.
