      Insump skimmer

      My skimmer is causing a ton of bubbles in my tank what would cause this. I dont know the name of the skimmer but it has a pump hooked to it a vent hose and a tube that slides to adjust the skimming with a foam on the tube it does not matter where yoi adjust the tub any ideas lmk thanks

      Is it overflowing? Maybe it's in too deep of water? Pics would help

      perhaps it needs to be cleaned...we should clean them periodically...pics?

      If it's a coralife superskimmer, it might be breaking in, or there might be a leak in the seal at the pump, or the output might be clogged or not adjusted right. If that is the skimmer you have (sounds like it by description), I ditched the foam box that was attached to the output and put the hose inside a filter sock and that helped mine. There was a mod I did too to get rid of the flexible hose using PVC, but that is probably not necessary. Telling us which skimmer it is by name or pic would definitey help. I think there is a picture of mine in my build thread.
