hey this is nto on topic 100% but how fast does your cheato grow? im curious.... i have plenty and i just gave away a gallon bag last week but i just want to see how fast yours grows compared to mine... mine grows about 1 zip lock bag full a week...max i can hold in my refuge is a gallon bag worth but i usually try and stay at about half that so it has room to grow...

Not sure how fast nine grow. I have a 10g refuge..but divided in to 5g...with my dual 65w pc on for 9hrs a day with like a ziplock bag within 2weeks or so it will fill up my 5g..but I change out the pc to my fw plants tank and got a homedepot clip onc fixture with a plant grow light..now its like 3weeks to fill up my refuge...I like to leave at less 2fist size of chaetoOriginally Posted by av619

yeah thats kinda how mine grows... i found that it grew allot fasterwhen i had a yellowish bulb, but when i had that the algae grew like crazy too!

I never have any algea problem in my refuge...

yeah it depends on what kind of bulb you use... if your using a really yellow bulb your moe prone to get algae.... my tank is also only 3 months old so algae is fairly present.

use to have hairy algea problem before...but no sign of it now..tank is 3 1/2 months old...and is doing good..and GL with yours as well
cheato all gone for now...thanks to all who came by to pick it up..
