      hitchhikers

      you guys not only have killer corals, buttttt I keep getting baby starfish hitchhikers! its like two for the price of oneeee

      Well if you consider a coral eating parasite a good thing..so be it.

      I heard they only tend to feed of good coraline. i guess not as bad as aptasia.....

      The majority of us have them, although not all are "bad". It's all in perspective. Some hates it, others don't mind it, you be the judge. More info HERE

      i got some in my tank and theyre eating up my BN so i gotta get a couple harlequin shrimps... but coral rx takes care of them quickly till i get them...

      They eat coraline which is definatly less than favorable, but they multiply like mad and can become quite an eyesore. Look at it this way, you can house a harliquin shrimp for a while without having to suplement it's diet.

      Yes the asterina stars eat up corraline, but with so much coralline growing I don't mind them helping me out. I have a helluva time scraping the corraline off the glass so I just let the asterinas have at it. At some point though I can see where they may be a pest.
