Discus breeding for a hobbiest is the pinnacle of the fresh water realm and a crowning achievement. Congrats on all your hard work Andy. This is awesome. Can't wait to see the pics.
Wow, beautiful!! Congrats!

Salty fingers since 1989. Current tanks: 240g FOWLR, 15g QT.
Congrats on the spawn. Is this their first time? If so after a few tries they should stop eating the eggs and let them hatch. LMK if you want to try a spawning cone. I have a bunch of them from when I use to breed discus.
Thanks guys! This was their first spawn. Pretty funny to watch them lay and fertilize the eggs, then eat them right away. What bad parents!
That is really cool you used to breed them stephj03. I would love to try a spawning cone. I will shoot you a PM.
Awesome, and yeah, breeding discus are about as good as it gets in FW.
My friend is going through the same right now, and I'm becoming informed along the way on care of fry and it's challenges.
Nice pics!
They laid eggs a couple more times and this time they let them hatch and there are little Discus fry. I'll get some pictures up ASAP.
awsome... pics are needed... congrats
Lights out! More pics tomorrow for sure.
