Raising the Alk too quickly could also shock/kill your corals. Try to do it steadily.
Probably your alk. Check for brown jelly too.
7 isn't the end of the world. 8-9 is perfect imop. 9+ is getting up there ala 2000 style which is something most people are starting to shy away from.
10 inches is a very BIG difference in light reaching the coral. In many cases a10" will drop your PAR by 50% or more. So while the Acan's may not need a lot of light, they do need light and they were happy where they were. Any chance you can move some up higher in the tank to see how they do?
What fish if any do you have in the tank? I had a coral beauty develop a tast for my acans a while ago. Most kinds of rabitfish will nibble on LPS if not hevily fed as well.
Calcium is now at 450+/-.
Alk needs to go up a lil.
I have moved a couple Acans up in the tank to see if the 10 inch light difference will do anything. In addition, lots of water changes.
One of the two Acans has shown promise.....
As for fish:
2 Clown Fish (True Perc)
3 Blue Tangs
1 Yellow Tang
1 Line Wrasse
1 Bangai Cardinal
1 Blue Green Chromis
1 Firefish
1 Fireshrimp
Multiple Snails and crabs
