Just came from there and talked to a Supervisor(would not give me her name) and the reason it is shut down forever is due to people washing there kids and stuff off from the beach. NOT REEFERS! It was all due to the beach people! She said if they have anything to do with it it will never come back online to the public again so go elsewhere and get my water. What a BXXXH. I made a point to say to her that reefers respect this and would try to take care of it. She said to late for that! NICE

Perhaps someone who knows someone in a position of authority could ask them if this is in fact the case? If someone on SDREEFS would get me a name and phone number, I would be happy to make an appointment with them and plead our case. PM me or post here. I need a decision and policy maker, not a plumber or concrete worker who "heard it from so and so..."

La Jolla sucks! They won't leave the seals alone, it is expensive, traffic is terrible (they must have been high when they designed the roads), and now they shut Scripps water off.
Only thing I like about La Jolla is diving at the Marine Room.

I tried to get any name I could and it was not going to happen. I was not rude but very nice. Maybe she was having a bad morning! Who knows with these people. They want you to make donations and give them things( I gave a very very large donation 1 month earlier)but they do not want to hear what we have to say about it! I am sure that all on here that use the water would be more than happy to help them in anyway we could. I would volunteer a day there watching and making sure people did not abuse this! But like I said they don't want to hear it! Like I said , back to mixing and no donation next year ,they do not care anyway!

I will find out for sure if it is off for good next week. My husband goes down in La Jolla 2x a week because he takes care of a property down there.

I don't think they did all the work not to have the water on. I guess we can still get water just bring your own hose.

That would actually be a good idea.. That way only those who respect the resource have access to it.

I did my graduate work at Scripps, let me see if I can get a name for us to call. Also, we might try and hit up the Aquarium and see if they would be willing to install a water line somewhere that we could use?

I would not do that. Bothering people to the point of annoyance for something that is zero benefit to them is not a good way to go, IMO

I tried the your own hose trick and got told NO!!!
