I have noticed that my local Home Depot has replaced Aquamend with WaterWeld from JB Weld.

Water Weld is the same thing as aquamend. I have used it extensively in my SPS tank and no issues whatsoever. $3.00 a stick vs. 12...

The replacement that HD carries works the same. I use it all the time.

maybe it's been too long since I've purchased it but I did see the JB water weld stuff but they wanted like $5-6 for the small stick...seemed more than what I remember for aquamend. Are the sticks at CA the larger stick? If so I can probably get those for a better deal regardless but good to know the JB weld stuff will work too

I would be in for a GB for aquamend or the JB stuff. Aquastik burns corals and F's up my skimmer, IME.

I always liked aquamend better. Good to know the replacement stuff works just as well.

yeah that stuff works, I hate the color tho and it's a little expensive considering you can get the gray colored stuff for half that...

David (da6d2003) bought a case of the large sticks of aquamend for his rebuild. Not sure where he bought it from or price, but I'd be in for some sticks.
      150g glass w/ corner overflow , 60g sump w/refugium, Eheim 1262 return, SRO 2000int skimmer, ATI Dimmable Sunpower 8x54w fixture, 2 Tunze 6105 and 2 tunze 6025 modded.
