      Thumbs down Tigger pods

Don't waste your money! I bought these at AW and spent like $80 to seed my two tanks they never took off and died. These copepods are not for warm water tanks they are a cold water copepod. I should get my money back for them lying saying that they will breed in a tropical tank.

The only pods that I would recommend is DT's copepods (the white pods) or Reef Pods. They are breeding like crazy!

know of any pictures of ISPF's stuff? The cartoons are nice but I'm curious what the animals actually look like.

I'm not the only one that had this problem. Pet kingdom refuses to sell them because they never worked for them too. Even I guy from there told me not to waste anymore money because they are a cold water pod. Why would one type of pod work in my tank but not another? It doesn't make any sense.

I've used the Nutramar Tigrio Pods and they've always taken off in a refugium for me.

      A couple things to remember:

Tigger pods are sold as food, not a refugium seeding product. The idea is that you put them in your tank and your fish eat them. For that purpose, it is a great product. (No affiliation with the company either)

I have purchased the sandbed clams as well as snails, sea hares, stars, worms, and hermits from IPSF and have always been very satisfied. I don't have pictures of their pods, but I can tell you that they look like pods. Pretty big, actually.

You might want to read this FAQ... http://reefnutritionfaq.pbworks.com/Tigger-Pods+FAQ

Reef Nutrition and their parent company, Reed Mariculture (supplies feedstock to commercial hatcheries and such) are known for having quality products.

They thrived and bred wildly in my 'fuge.

I've always taken the time to acclimate them like I would any other invert. Float the bottle in the fuge for 20 mins. let some water in slowly and they should do fine.
