Great pictures and post Mustang. If anyone would like, feel free to check out some more pictures on the thread above.
Also, we're selling both the fixture and the stunner strips, so add us to that list!
Hey Bill, PM box is full.
How are these lights working out? I have a 8' long 240 and was thinking about getting a few to enhance my lighting a bit. How much area do they cover? I currently have 2-4' wide t5 fixtures. i was thinking about putting at least 2 on the front of each fixture spaced evenly apart and maybe 2 on the back of each fixture also. Think that would cover enough area? My tank is 24" tall and the lights sit about 3" above the tank. Think That would be sufficient? How do these compare to t5's as far as par goes. Thanks for any help and info. And btw, your tank looks awesome.
I have 6 on my 180 right now 4 blue , 1 UV and 1 white, the lights are fairly focused so that they don't cover a very large area. I love those lights though, they really bring the colors out. What I would do is stick with your plan and if you need or want to add more you could easily do it. I don't have any par readings to give you I never measured them. I do beleive you will be impressed by them because they are bright as hell, the UV one was kind of cool if it was on by itself but if any of the other LEDS are on it will wash out the UV colors and you won't even notice the UV at all. I assume you are going to get the blues one? Anyway I say go for it, get 2 to start and see how you like them.

I ended up getting 2 of the panorama modules for now. They put out 12w rather than the 6w of the stunners. The 2 i put on does bring out some color in the fish and few corals that i have right now. I may get a couple stunners netxt just to compare them to the panoramas. I was reading a comparison of the 2 and it said the panoramas had a higher par reading on the top half of the tank, but the stunners had a higher reading on the bottom half. That sounds kinda strange to me. I'd have to see them side by side to compare. one thing I don't like about the panorama is that you can't daisy chain them. Each module has it's own transformer. I may just go with stunners and add the snap on reflectors made for them. It's supposed to double the light output of the stunner and they are only around $7.

Hmm, didn't know that had snap on reflectors for those, I'lll have to check that out as well.

yep, check their website.

I sent an email to Ecoxotic regarding brightness and PAR comparisons between the stunner and the panorama strip module.
Here's their reply:
"Thank you for contacting Ecoxotic and purchasing our LED products.
The Panorama Modules definitely produce more PAR than our Stunner LED strips. Adding a reflector will double the amount of light projected from a Stunner LED strip, but the LEDs used in them are lower lumen/watt LEDs compared to the LEDs used in our Panorama Modules."
Any chance of some before and after shots of the tank or corals? I am interested in the led's but still a bit skeptical on some of them. I like the idea od the reflector. Shouldnt that widen the light given off?
I have some pics but it's kinda hard to tell the real deal in photo's.
The stunners are strictly accent lighting, not much PAR value.
They do definitely make colors pop though, I like them.
I have 6 panorama strips on my 240. I'm going to get get 2 more for a total of 8. I have 4 blues across the front of my t5 fixtures and will probably put 2 blues and 2 combos across the back of the fixtures. On a tank this size they are pretty much just accent lighting, but they really do make the colors pop. Heres some reviews with par readings. What I found strange was that they found the stunners to have a higher par reading on the bottom of the tank...
Ecoxotic sent me some lenses which are suppossed to focus the light more, but I haven't tried them yet since I'm breaking down in the next couple of weeks. They wouldn't send me reflectors cuz they said they are a PITA to put on. The lights on the panorama fixtures come with reflectors on them already.

I'm not sure what that means, higher PAR at bottom, or what that is being compared to.
They weren't intended for coral growth, or to work on reefs, other than giving a custom color or ramp up/cool down.
I know Ike is going to talk at SDMAS meeting tonight, maybe he can clarify this.
The comparison is between the stunner and the panorama strip lights.
