They really need to separate out cases of teenagers who are 18 and their girl friends are 16 or 17 having consensual sex. That person in my book is not a sex offender and should not be lumped with all of these rapists and child molestors. Our laws and court system truely need a massive makeover to deal with "real" sexual predators.

      couldn't have said it better.

castration was proven to curb sexual 'deviancy' in archaic times. alas, nasty little amendment to our constitution says no.

ironic that Amber Dubois' parents staked out the guy's house after Amber went missing.

for those of you with children, particularly girls, this ***** is chilling. don't live in fear, but be vigilant.

I think if you get caught for pissing in public they register you as a sexual offender. So ridiculous, they really do need to fix the system.

It looks like they do clarify on the MegansLaw website. Here is an example from someone's profile in my area (although not too close):
LEWD OR LASCIVIOUS ACTS WITH CHILD UNDER 14 YEARS
