Crazy. This seems like a pretty personal choice to me.
they've been threatening and talking about this for years. it won't happen any time soon, they'd lose too many recruits.
and I thought the ban on flavored "tobacco" wraps was bad...
Ain't gonna happen, over 1/2 the guys on my ship including myself smokes. Talk about decreasing morale.
I dont smoke....but it is crazy
I don't smoke. Smoking is without-a-doubt extremely bad for the human body and causes a LOT of problems. I would love to see a 100% non-smoking military. However, I think outright banning it might not be the way to accomplish that. Banning it would likely result in a whole onslought of new problems...
i think we all know the helth risk's involved in smoking,it is by no means great fot you,but that would put a cramp on so many peoples days......with drawls anyone?
dude thats going to one pissed off army ill tell you what.... they kill the first f-ing thing that angers them.... i know their pain as i my self have kicked cigarettes.. i wanted to destroy everything that irritaed me and i wasn't even holding a gun
GAWD HELP THE ENEMY !
If smoking is so bad they should just ban cigarettes..but it's not about health it's all about tax money. Government at it's controlling best.
If they can do "don't ask don't tell" and deny people their rights they can do this too.
............ lights fuse and then runs like hell........
let the kids smoke....who cares.
not like they wont dip on the ship anyways.
It will never happen. Stats show a high rate of smokers in the military but the stats are just as high for alcoholism. so does that mean banning alcohol is next? They've been trying to end "Dont Ask dont Tell" since I was in way back 1983 and it hasnt happened yet
uh wasn't "don't ask don't tell" started by president clinton in the mid 90's
It was. He compromised with conservatives. Removing it is on the Obama "to do" list.
