      Say hello to my little friend...



      I've only had it a few hours and he's already my favorite toy ever! Everyone please meet Danboard. Danboard comes from the manga Yotsuba&!. I was inspired by calonyr11 on flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/calonyr...2406/comments/) to buy one at Comic Con 2009 this weekend and take it with me on my travels. I think that calonyr11's pics of "Danbo" are something I could only strive to achieve, but I'm doing this for my own personal enjoyment and skill development. I'll be naming my little friend soon enough...something different than "Danboard". Oh and it will be a "he" even though the true character is a girl. Enjoy. I'll post up all of his little adventures here if you all like it.

      hell ya i want one of those little figurines so bad, my grandma went to japan and i asked her to get me one but she's old and had no clue what i was talking about.. cant wait to see what kind of trouble he gets into haha

      I like the Arnold Arboretum pics, those are nice....... Your pic IMO is better than some of his, good job.

      @Dave... its supposed to be a girl but all my things are 'boys'. My car is "Tonka", my toy is Baxter. Get used to it

      @zoa- thanks. Yes it is my D90. I'm working on getting sharp focus. This was actually taken on a tripod.

      Baxter decided to brush up on his photography to prepare for his new Mini Danboard friend I just ordered today. He's pretty excited to get a playmate.
