Is there a way to receive an alert (email or pm, selectable by the member) when someone posts in a thread you started?

Meaning: If I start a discussion thread, can I get a notification when people post to it?

In the User CP, click on Edit Options then choose Instant Email Notification for the Default Thread Subscription Mode
