Yes you remove the endcap. The probe needs to remain wet and there is a little bit of fluid in the cap to keep it moist. You will need to calibrate the probe before it will read correctly.

there were no explicit directions in the manual for calibration... i know i have a 7.0 ph and a 10.0 ph pack both with temp corrections on the back... but nothing more than that... =/...

would you like to walk me thru it Dave?

I'm having trouble with my temperature probe. I keep calibrating it based on a thermometer that I have from my lab. Then the temp will fluctuate wildly.. i'm talking up to 110 or down to 60 degrees farenheit. Any ideas on what is causing this? i left if for a while and now it just says iTemp error. I've read that stray voltage might cause this... has anyone had experience with this?

I also get an error when the temp probe is not even in the water. At this point I can't even calibrate it.. i just get an iTemp error.

When you set the repeat count to 2, does that mean that it goes through the cycle you set up once, then repeats twice for a total of 3 cycles. Or is the repeat count the total number of cycles that it goes through. Thanks.
