Has anyone heard anything or have any links on the new Apex system? I was thinking of the DA Elite but I want to look at the Apex before I make a decision.

thanks Russ. I like Neptune Systems and I like a few features that DA docent have that the Apex does. I think marinedepot is accepting Pre-orders
This does look like a neat controller... I might get one myself. Thanks for the heads up Russ.
Does anyone know the relase date for the Apex?
Pre-ordering is available now. Estimated first shipping is the week of June 22nd. More details are in this thread: http://www.sdreefs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55231
prefect. Thanks Russ
Neptune just posted in their support forum that things on track for initial shipping late the week of the 22nd.
Has anyone ordered an APEX yet?
Planning on ordering mine this weekend
I'm going to see if I can get a deal on these through reef geek maybe if we get several, I'm awaiting the email from Greg.
Not really a deal but incentive indeed.

Does anyone have one yet?
Hopefully soon! Should have one in a few weeks
It arrived last week and I was really excited!
First impression was that the quality of the material was pretty good. From what I read about the RKE and it being "cheap", I didn't get the same feeling from the Apex. It came with the 8-outlet port, which was nice and plenty (for now).
I plugged in the essentials: Calcium Reactor, heater, chiller just to test it out. I've kept my lighting out of the equation right now so I don't have a single point of failure.
The network features are sah-weet-ness. I even downloaded the iPhone application (AquaNotes) and was impressing my co-workers with the ability to see my fish tank stats from work. LOL.
SETUP:
* Instructions: Not bad - pretty straight forward.
* Calibration: Make sure you also have the liquid to calibrate the pH monitor. Mine was a little bit off.
* Network: setup was very, very simple - it was setup on DHCP and my network was found by the controller within seconds and I was able to use the web browser to go through the settings in about 5 minutes. The more difficult part was setting it up so that I could access it outside of my house (I'm techy, so did it, but if you need help, PM me).
* Outlet setup: The control of each outlet is setup very easily. There are "wizards" that I went through and then did a little bit of the 'coding' as well. Again, I'm used to development/programming, but anyone can do it with less than 5 minutes of messing around.
* Overall: Reallly happy with it. It shows the amps that are being used - it has a maximum of 15amps for 8-outlet box. You can get an upgraded one, but for now, I'm ok with what I have. I will eventually plug in the lights and have them controlled as well.
Oh - I'm leaving for Tahiti in a week...so it's going to be great to be able to keep an eye on my little guys.
Hope that helps, lemme know if you guys have any other questions.
-David
I just finished building full support for the APEX into Reeftronics.
