      DIY Electical Box

So overtime the wires have been accumulating under my tank, becoming a disaster waiting to happen. My father-in-law came up with this great design to help me clean up the mess.

Using an old electrical box he had laying around, we first installed power outlets to the side of the box.

Then installed a switch board on the inside of the box to control a number of the outlets.

We also installed the timer for my lights and the 24 volt converter for my moonlights into the box.

I'll post some more pics once I get it installed.

That looks good. Must have been a lot of work. Be sure to plug it into a GFI.

Nice work! What's the rating on that power cord? Looks like a cutoff extension cord, probably 14 or 16 gauge; might want to play it safe and replace it with 12.

Thanks, it was less work than it looks . And don't worry, it plugs into a GFI outlet.
