      The new Reefkeeper Lite

For anybody that is interested, I have one of the soon to be released Reefkeeper Lite controllers direct from Digital Aquatics. PM me or give me a call if you want to see it. It is very nice and since it will be selling for $149 and is upgradable to the RKE, I am sure lots of people will be interested. I have DA's permission to show it off, so if you want to see it, let me know.

I can also show you some of the cool graphing/logging stuff that the NET module can do on the RKE system. It is looking pretty cool. Both the NET module as well as the RKL are currently available to pre-order and will be shipping in the next few weeks.

Thats pretty cool. Does the NET module have the ability to monitor via web based interface? Email / text alerts?

Yes it does. It also sends out an RSS feed that I can set up to show whatever parameters I want. You can see that on the link for my tank in my signature line.

The Reefkeeper Lite is basically a replacement for the RK2. It can do everything that the RK2 could do and quite a bit more, depending on which modules you hook up to it. It can be a lot more powerful. It looks better too.

What's with the pre-order price being $279 versus your $149 quote?

There are three different "packages" that DA is selling the RKL under. Each one comes with different modules. They are listed as RKL1, RKL2, and RKL3.

So far I am. I don't think I'll be working Saturday or Sunday. I should know for sure by tomorrow night what my weekend schedule will look like.

Is that right? According the side-by-side the RK Lites are NOT compatible with the RKM-NET modules... or is it just a built in module?

Also wondering if any of these units have the ability to send logs to a syslog server on another computer?
